Smart Cops

The way Smart Cops play could be described as a rally cry to social alienation with a mixture of sarcasm, rebellion, self-pity and paranoia. It’s weird, simple and to the point. Their sound is defined by crunchy guitars and obsessive drum beats. Smart Cops are going to polyphonically dent your ear drums, rhythmically roust you until your brain spins and steamcomes screaming out of your navel. As the poet said. Their weapon? This here record. Rise up, it's time for a revolution!

Brontide

Brontide are an altogether different musical beast. Drawing upon the influence of Battles, Russian Circles and Don Caballero, Brontide are a riff-heavy, intelligent instrumental rock band that possesses an almost limitless scope.
San Souci is a continuous piece of music that ascends and descends with ease. Articulate, virtuoso and surprisingly entertaining” - Clash Magazine.

Neur

Neur is a post-punk/math rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey. They formed in September 2010 and released their debut Untitled EP on December 3rd 2010.
This six-track EP can only really be described in one word: Bold. They challenge how music normally is, keeping everything fresh and unexpected. Everything about the music keeps you engaged, just guessing what might happen next. I see big things for this band in the future and I hope to hear a full length album soon. (mindequalsblown.net)

Negative Degree

Negative Degree (Denver, USA) is an excellent straight forward angry punk/hardcore with a bit of a Germs feel in the stripped down guitar sound. Also, brings more current bands like the Formaldehyde Junkies to mind.
